FINDING A CHURCH
"So we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another."
In Clitheroe, we have a wide variety of churches. Find one to suit you!
Clitheroe Community Church
We’re a mainstream Christian church, taking our place alongside other major expressions and denominations as one church. We believe the good news of Jesus is for everyone and we aim to partner with the Holy Spirit in seeing our community impacted by God’s transforming power.
Clitheroe United Reformed Church
We are a friendly church based in the centre of Clitheroe.
Our congregation has a wide age range with lots of fun activities in junior church as part of the Sunday Service.
There are various clubs and activities for all ages taking place in our church throughout the week.
St James Church
We are a vibrant church in the heart of the Ribble Valley in Lancashire, and are part of the Church of England. We are made up of people of all ages, backgrounds and personal circumstances and are always keen to welcome visitors and those wanting to know more about the Christian faith.
St Mary Magdalene
Frequently called Clitheroe Parish Church, St Mary's is one of 3 Anglican Churches in Clitheroe. Rev. Andy Froud leads Holy Communion in church at 8am and 10am on Sundays, and online services continue as follows: Monday – Saturday: Daily Morning Prayer on Facebook 8.30 am, Thursday: Children’s Church 1.30 pm, Zoom Bible Study 8.10 pm.
St Paul's church is situated in Low Moor in the market town of Clitheroe. Our congregation is a loving, friendly group that welcomes and encourages people to faith. We are a parish with a real family feel and we care very much for one another and also for our wider community. St Paul's is a Child Friendly Church.
Trinity Methodist Church
The church at Trinity is made up of people who love Jesus. The ages of our congregation ranges from 3 to 93 and there is a real sense that we are a family. At the core of what we do is worship that seeks a balance between contemporary and traditional forms. Clear biblical preaching that is relevant to people's everyday lives is a vital element of who and what we are. Most of our services are enhanced and enriched by the use of modern technology, using both visual and audio presentations to illustrate and present different aspects of worship.
